What it is:
H2O is a nonprofit organization designed to bring physical and spiritual hope to homeless people worldwide, through lunch bags filled with non-perishable food and a gospel tract.How it started:
After an eye-opening week at World Venture’s kids’ missions camp in 2005, hosted at Camp Jonah, my sister, Leslie, and I (then ages 14 and 11) were challenged to do something for the poor in their communities, so we co-founded the ministry Hope 2 Others (H2O).
How it works:
H2O bags are sold or given to people who will carry them in their car and deliver them when they see someone holding a “homeless and hungry” sign. An H2O bag is designed to tangibly give hope to a homeless person, as well as provide a driver with something beneficial to carry in their car and hand out to the person they see on the street corner.
