-Martin Luther King Jr.
I pray that God would replace my desire to always be busy doing big things for God, with big people, in big places, and replace it with a desire to see Jesus magnified through my tasks, big or little.
I pray that the Lord would find fit to make me a faithful servant in the little, dreary, daily tasks like street sweeping or, in my case, dish washing, or floor-scrubbing.
I pray that one day I will be able to hear all of heaven say:
“Here lived a great sister. dish cleaner. diaper-changer. floor-scrubber. house cleaner. washerwoman.”
...And a great blogger, and a great friend, and a great speaker.
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Lauren!
That's certainly the hardest: finding joy and being diligent in the small things. That is, hardest for moi!
ReplyDeleteI love that quote! :)
